Body Image in Advertising

This is an inspirational program for girls to identify and analyze sexism in the media through vintage and contemporary advertising, while learning how they can become social advocate rock stars! Available virtually!

Recommended for 6th-12th grade girls.

  • Define objection and sexism to develop conceptual foundation.

  • Visual analysis of various advertisements to identify sexism and objection, and how women’s bodies are degraded through advertising.

  • Provide social advocacy tools so girls know how to respond to offensive ads that represent girls and women.
